Valuing Older People over 50's Luncheon Club 2014

Dear ALL

May I Thank everybody for their support as to the meal that was organised on Friday 17th Jan the lunch at Whitemoss and to Zest for organising the food which was enjoyed by everybody.

Thanks to Stella Lea who brought the three ladies (Leanne, Maxine and Natalie) who have gained their level 1 training qualifications for VOP which had been held at St.John Boscos' via FC Utd. All these ladies have offered their assistance in the preparation and the cooking of the food in the forthcoming Friday VOP sessions which starts on the 24th.January.

 The ladies are being booked onto a day and a half food safety course ran by MPHDS on Thursday 13th.Feb.9.30am to 4.30pm and Fri. 14th. Feb 9.30am to 12.30pm(need to attend both days). 

Thank You to Jackie Daly , Janet Newell, Danny Grant , Sharon Joynt, Donna Ogden ,Lee Mather PCSO and Angela Heath PCSO  for volunteering on the day. We all deserve a pat on the back for making it such a success on the day and we are hoping to continue every Friday which will address the Social Isolation agenda.

   Please feel free to to pop in on Fridays at noon and enjoy a 2 course meal for £3 and socialise with our local over 50s' group. There are other things going on like Badminton/Table Tennis/Pool/Snooker/Computer Training/Scrabble/Domino's  between 10am and 12 noon so pop in and have a chat and come up with any other suggestions.

Valuing Older People Session Friday's 10am to 12.30pm

Come along to our Valuing Older People over 50's you can do a Computer Course to improve your skills or you can play Badminton with our Badminton Coach Adam or you can play Table Tennis  so come along tell your friend's there's not much in the Charlestown Area so you have from 10am to 12.30pm  so come along an have some fun and keep fit too with Different sports .

24 Volunteers Painting the Club co/operative/Accountants in Manchester /

Big Thanks to 24 Volunteers from The Co-Operative/ Accountants in Manchester/who came up for the day to paint our Youth Club to give it a Brighter look so when the kids/Youths/Community come back they well get nice Surprise. They painted  the Boys/Girls Toilet's and Corridor to the Toilet's the main room /with a lovely tree painted onto the wall plus they painted our new Coffee Bar Lounge in a nice Chocolate Colour plus a nice tree near our T/V .

This is Whitemoss Youth Club and Community Centre's 4th Annual Christmas Panto. This years Panto was Aldin which Chaplin s put on for us and did a superb job for the 4th time so a Big Thanks to them and to Northwards Housing and Manchester City Council who Funded this so Happy Christmas to you all  

 

Santa's Grotto Thanks to Ground Work .2013

This was our Christmas Grotto that we had were got funding we got from Ground Work which John Biggs put in funding for which was for 2,000 pound so we ordered a Christmas Grotto and a Shanta's Grotto so we got him to give all the Presents to the many kids which my son was one of them we also did a buffet with molt wine to have after meeting Santa. so many kids came and had a great time so we'd like to say a Big Thanks to Ground Work who Funded this 

SALE SHARKS RUGBY Coaching Evening Session 11th December 2013

This is an invite fro a free session at Whitemoss Youth Club,that Sale Sharks are doing a Coaching Session as a one off session for anyone who loves Rugby .Age from 11/19 years old come along .
