100 Years CENTIARY

2007 prooved to be a sucessful year both for the Greater Manchester Federation Clubs for Young People celebrating 100 years of Youth Club work and Whitemoss Club For Young People as we celebrated our 40th.Anniversary.The Federation visited Manchester Citys' Stadium in Eastlands and Volunteer Adults played some of the old City Players. Thanks to Johnny for filming the event and Neil.Daniel and Ryan for playing ,did Andy Hamill score a goal ? . The Clubs u12's represented the Federation and were champions in the NorthWest Finals as well as playing on the day.Well Done to Everyone who took part and to the Fed. for their splendid work past and present, over the 100 years.

The Community Foundations Award Night 21/11/2008


The Community Foundations Awards Night, Johnny, Zoe, Dad and Muriel arrived at the C.I.S Building. We got there a bit to early so we went for a drink over the Road at an Irish Pub.Then we went in, walked up to the first floor and there was White wine/Red wine/Orange juice we sat down and had a few drinks.Then we were called into the dining area where we sat down with other Nominees .There was Entertainment put on i.e Singers/Band/Dancers/Scottish Bagpipers playing.Then came the presentations which the Whitemoss youth club and Zoe Randells were nominated my dad nominated Zoe for the Young Persons Award and Whitemoss Youth Club was up for Best Group Award the club was pipped at the post by a football Club. Zoe won the Young Persons Award and Fizz out of CORONATION STREET gave Zoe her award it ended a great night, Thanks to the Community Foundation plus Proudly Supported by Irwell Valley Housing Association WELL DONE EVERYBODY INVOLVED. The Queens Award Night 2008...


The Queens Award was a great night on the thursday night we all came in to spring clean and setting out the Raffle Prizes. Then Friday morning The girls Karen/Jenny/Lyinda started the Buffett which they did a great job it looked Fantastic so the night came and Kids and Parants turned up and every body was set for the David Wilson The Vice Lord Lieutenant He Arrives at youth club and Signs the Visiters book then John Biggs Shows him around our Youth club plus Meets old members from the club. Then everybody made there way to the gym were the Presantation was made John Biggsmade opening Speeches then Counciler Mark Hackett made a speech then Selwin /from the Fedaration made a speech. then David Wilson asked the volunteers who have helped run the club over the years the names were Jenny Gavin /Karen Hill /Lyinda Udell /Lenard Brooks /Johnny Biggs Wayne Carter /Muriel Biggs/ John Biggs /Karen Heepy. SPECIAL NEEDS HOLIDAY OCT/2008..

The Bank of NewYork who funded our weekend to Ormside Mill for our Special Needs children. all had a great time. Ive edited a small video to get a taste of the weekend, which everybody would like to say a big thank you to the The Bank ,who made this holiday possible. Id like to thank my dad John Biggs who applied for the funding and organized all the holiday big thanks to Graham Phillips who came down with his caravanette but a bit of bad luck, his vehicle engine caught fire which made him return home, him and his dog Raffa. Big Thank you to all the children who were all great even Jake,"now get to bed Jake!".
